THE LETTERMEN

Friday, February 26, 2010, 7:30 p.m.

Bromeley Family Theater, Blaisdell Hall, University of Pittsburgh at Bradford

The pop hits of the '50s and '60s rarely sounded better than the Lettermen's. These hits include "Put Your Head on My Shoulder," "Shangri-La," "Theme from 'A Summer Place,'" among so many others. They charted with 25 smash singles and 40 albums in over 50 years in the business.

Founding member Tony Butala is now joined by Donavan Tea and Mark Preston to recreate the lush harmonies and romantic ballads that evoke that innocent time between the end of World War II and the upheavals of the 1960s, when these All-American boys brought doo-wop off the streets and into the supper clubs. Preview The Lettermen, 2001 inductees into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, at www.thelettermen.com.

FDR starring Edward Asner

Ed Asner as FDR

Monday, September 27, 2010, 7:30 p.m.

Bromely Family Theater, Blaisdell Hall, Univeristy of Pittsburgh at Bradford, Bradford PA

One of America's most beloved actors is playing one of America's most beloved presidents.
Edward Asner is primarily known for his Emmy- winning role as Lou Grant on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spin-off series, Lou Grant. He is also acclaimed for his performance as Captain Davies in the classic mini-series Roots, the man who kidnapped Kunta Kinte and sold him into slavery, a role that earned Asner another Emmy Award. He most recently provided the voice of Carl Fredricksen in Pixar's Academy Award- winning animated film Up.

In FDR, Asner explores the life of one of America's best loved presidents and the events and decisions that helped to shape our nation. This powerful play follows the iconic president as he reflects on his years in office, from his inauguration through the Great Depression to the epic battles of World War II. Edward Asner in FDR makes for stirring historic drama from a great actor and storyteller.
