President's Message

Dear Friends,

August turns to autumn, school sessions begin, and a new BCPAC season is revealed. And what a season it is!

Emmy-winner Edward Asner. The off-Broadway smash Forever Plaid - The Musical. Grammy-winning country superstar LeAnn Rimes. The driving Drumline Live. And Rain: A Tribute to The Beatles, direct from its Broadway run. This is certainly among the best BCPAC seasons ever. And you've made it possible for us to present such an outstanding line up.

Just think. This small town can only attract such acts because of our corporate sponsors, individual donors and our loyal ticket-buying audience. That kind of belief in what Bradford can do is nothing short of impressive.

It's the people of Bradford and our surrounding neighbors - you - who bring up the curtain every season. You prove every year that something great can happen here.

So, yes, I'm impressed by what you've made happen here. I'm impressed by what Bradford can do. Great shows. Powerful inspiration.

Most of all, I'm impressed by your ongoing support.

See you at the shows.
Sincerely,
Shane Oschman, President

One of America's most beloved actors is playing one of America's most beloved presidents.
Edward Asner is primarily known for his Emmy- winning role as Lou Grant on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spin-off series, Lou Grant. He is also acclaimed for his performance as Captain Davies in the classic mini-series Roots, the man who kidnapped Kunta Kinte and sold him into slavery, a role that earned Asner another Emmy Award. He most recently provided the voice of Carl Fredricksen in Pixar's Academy Award- winning animated film Up.

In FDR, Asner explores the life of one of America's best loved presidents and the events and decisions that helped to shape our nation. This powerful play follows the iconic president as he reflects on his years in office, from his inauguration through the Great Depression to the epic battles of World War II.
