Other Programs and Services

We view our mission to sponsor and foster the creative and performing arts in the community in the broadest sense. In this spirit we offer a range of events and programs that broaden involvement with the arts.

The Arts in Education committee strives to expose students in grades K-12 to any and all of the arts for the betterment of their overall education. We accomplish this through workshops, residencies, master classes and assemblies

Periodically, as part of Bradford Summerfest, BCPAC coordinates an exhibit of arts by local artists and photographers. The exhibit has been held in downtown Bradford during Summerfest and Zippo Swap Meet Days

Recognition of support of the arts in the community is important and BCPAC does its part to honor those individuals and organizations who strongly support the arts with the annual Marilyn Horne Award for the Creative & Performing Arts, The Jackie (formerly The Bravo! ). The Jackie is named for Miss Horne's nickname "Jackie". This years award was given to Northwest Savings Bank. Click here *Jackie Award

One of America's most beloved actors is playing one of America's most beloved presidents.
Edward Asner is primarily known for his Emmy- winning role as Lou Grant on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spin-off series, Lou Grant. He is also acclaimed for his performance as Captain Davies in the classic mini-series Roots, the man who kidnapped Kunta Kinte and sold him into slavery, a role that earned Asner another Emmy Award. He most recently provided the voice of Carl Fredricksen in Pixar's Academy Award- winning animated film Up.

In FDR, Asner explores the life of one of America's best loved presidents and the events and decisions that helped to shape our nation. This powerful play follows the iconic president as he reflects on his years in office, from his inauguration through the Great Depression to the epic battles of World War II. Edward Asner in FDR makes for stirring historic drama from a great actor and storyteller.
